This hat is knit in the round on double pointed needles.
Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride worsted weight, 1 skein.
1 set double point needles size US 7 (4.5mm) or to achieve gauge of 4 stitches per inch.

RT-right twist. Knit next 2 stitches together. Leave on left needle. Knit into first stitch. Drop both from needle.

Pattern:
Rnd 1: *RT, p6. Repeat from * around.
Rnd 2: *K2, p1, k4, p1. Repeat from * around.
Cast on 72 (80) sts. Divide evenly over double pointed needles, leaving one free to knit with. PM. Join. Work k2, p2 ribbing for 2.5 (3) ins.
Repeat rnds 1 & 2 until piece measures 6.5 (11) ins from cast on, ending
after rnd 1.
Decrease for crown:
*K2, p1, k1, k2tog, k1, p1. Repeat from * around.
*RT, p5. Repeat from * around.
*K2, p1, k3tog., p1. Repeat from * around.
*RT, p3. Repeat from * around.
*K2, P3tog. Repeat from * around.
*RT, p1. Repeat from * around.
*K2tog. Repeat from * around.
*P2tog. Repeat from * around.
Break yarn and pull through stitches.
Draw tight. Weave in ends.
