John’s Simple Luxury Herringbone Scarf:
This lovely pattern suitable for men or women is the perfect project for your luxurious handspun yarns. Shown in handspun cashmere and commercially spun shetland wool. This scarf can be made as a seaman’s scarf, with 2 matching ends and a ribbed center, or it can be made straight, in one unit.
Materials:
Needles - your choice, appropriate to yarn and needles one size smaller.
Yarn - Handspun or commercially spun yarn: sport wt to dk wt.
Ex: I used 2 skeins (52gm) AS Scottish Campion, size US 2 (2.75mm) needles and 5 oz (dk) handspun cashmere, size US 5 (3.75mm) needles.
Gauge - unimportant on a scarf. Knit the fabric as you like it.
