| Kathleen is well known for her preemie hats. Her local area newspaper published an article on Kathleen and included the picture you see at the left. For 2 years she made one hat a day (365 and 366 hats) for NICU at Children's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. The month that she sent hat #1000, she had her two favorites framed (Rosie's Posies and Snake Hat) for the NICU nurses to hang in their station.
Now she sends 20 per month and has sent over 1200 hats to date. Many of her self-published hat designs are based on her spur of the moment preemie hat designs.
Kathleen also make snakes and bugs for the nurses in the recovery room in the same Children's Hospital to hand out to the little ones who are coming out of anesthesia.
