Kathleen entered the XRX Knitters Magazine Contest which was announced in issue No. 42, Spring, 1996. Deadline for submission was July 1, 1996, then extended to August 1, 1996.

XRX planned to have a special, prize-winner, sock feature in an upcoming issue of Knitters Magazine and display entries at Stitches 1996. Kathleen sent in 3 pairs and the ones that won were the Popcorn Panache socks.

Popcorn PanacheSocks*3 was finally published in 1999 and she finally received her socks back after 3 years of waiting. Kathleen was surprised that they put out a BOOK of socks, not a pamphlet of patterns. Click on the pic at the right to see Kathleen's famous socks!

In 2000, Kathleen's samples of socks were accepted for another publication but unfortunately the book was never published.
